Graduation Requirements

The requirements to graduate from Mt. Healthy High School are:

Pass new testing requirements (Class of 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023)

Earn the following credits:

4 math credits (including Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2)

4 English credits (English I, II, III, and IV)

3 Science credits (including a Physical Science & Biology)

3 Social Studies credits (including World Studies, American Studies, & Government/Econ)

1 credit in fine arts (or met in Junior High)

7 elective credits

2 Physical Education courses (1/4 credit each)

1 Health course (1/2 credit)

Mt. Healthy requires the above requirements (22 credits) and 30 hours of Community Service.

Healthy and at least 7 of the following 8 criteria:

  1. Earn 4 units of English

  2. Earn 4 units of Mathematics including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II or equivalent and another high level course or a four year sequence of courses that contain equivalent content.

  3. Earn 4 units of Science including Physics and Chemistry

  4. Earn 4 units of Social Studies

  5. Earn 3 units of one foreign language OR 2 units each of two different Foreign Languages

  6. Earn 1 unit of Fine Arts

  7. Maintain an overall high school G.P.A. of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale up to the last grading period of the senior year

  8. Obtain a composite score of 27 or higher on the ACT or 1210 or higher on the SAT (Critical Reading and Math sections ONLY) The writing section on both the ACT and SAT are NOT included int he calculation of this score.

     

Vocational Honors Diploma

Successfully complete the requirements for graduation and must meet at least 7 of the following 8 criteria

  1. Earn 4 units of English

  2. Earn 4 units of Mathematics including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 or equivalent and another high level course or a 4 year sequence of courses that contain equivalent content

  3. Earn 4 units of Science including Physics and Chemistry

  4. Earn 4 units of Social Studies

  5. Earn 4 units of Career Technical minimum.  Program must lead to an industry recognized credential, apprenticeship, or be part of an articulated career pathway which can lead to post-secondary credit.

  6. Maintain an overall high school G.P.A. of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale up to the last grading period of the senior year.

  7. Achieve proficiency benchmark established for the appropriate Ohio Career-Technical Competency Assessment or equivalent

  8. Obtain a composite score of 27 or higher on the ACT or 1210 or higher on the SAT (Critical Reading and Math sections ONLY) The writing section on both the ACT and SAT are NOT included in the calculation of this score.
